The ingredient of Mongolian Hot Pot

  1. 1/4 cup sherry wine or 1/4 cup white grape juice
  2. 2 1/2 tablespoons gingerroot finely grated
  3. 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  4. 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  5. 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  6. 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  7. 2 large garlic cloves crushed
  8. 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  9. 12 ounces flank steaks or 12 ounces sirloin steaks, certainly thinly sliced across the grain and cut into 1 1/2-inch lengths
  10. 1 pound bok choy thinly sliced athwart
  11. 3 1/2 ounces lively shiitake mushrooms wiped, stems removed, and thinly sliced
  12. 4 scallions large, thinly sliced
  13. 2 carrots medium, peeled and cut into 1/4 inch slices
  14. 4 cups beef growth I would use more...at least a cup more
  15. 2 cups water
  16. 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
  17. 4 ounces soba noodles
  18. oil chinese hot pepper, to taste
